Apex Capital Partners announced survey results showing 61% of high-earning Americans would consider leaving the United States within the next five years. The survey of 1,733 Americans with household incomes over $200,000, conducted in May 2026 and equally weighted across party lines and gender, found cost of living and taxes were the top reason at 68%, followed by political climate at 54%, healthcare at 39%, public safety at 29%, and education at 21%. Asset diversification outside domestic US markets is considered by 63% of respondents, while 75% expressed concern about the future of the United States in relation to the Iran War, with 44% citing significant concern. When asked about preferred regions, 42% chose Europe, 18% Canada, and 16% the Caribbean.
