Apple Inc.Apple faces antitrust probe in India; CCI report accuses it of abusive conduct on iOS app platform.

Apple has accused the Competition Commission of India of 'copy-pasting' submissions from rivals like Match, PhonePe, and Paytm in its antitrust investigation, calling for the findings to be quashed. In a June 25 submission, Apple argued the CCI's report concluding it engaged in 'abusive conduct' on its iOS app platform relied on verbatim repetition of opponents' claims without independent analysis. Apple, which holds under 6% of India's smartphone market, warned that forced changes to its App Store could disrupt its business model and deter investment. The CCI has accused Apple of stalling the case for over two years, and a closed-door hearing with all parties is scheduled for July 21.
