Broadcom IncBroadcom gets $30B+ deal for 15 billion chips, providing substantial revenue visibility.
Apple has announced a landmark partnership with Broadcom valued at more than $30 billion, under which Apple will purchase over 15 billion chips through 2031. The agreement focuses on designing and producing custom silicon components and advanced wireless connectivity technologies for Apple's products, and includes a $1.5 billion investment by Broadcom to expand its facility in Fort Collins, Colorado. The deal is part of Apple's American Manufacturing Program aimed at bringing more manufacturing to the U.S., while for Broadcom it extends its custom ASIC work and provides substantial revenue visibility. Wall Street analysts estimate Apple accounts for 20% of Broadcom's revenue, and the long-term commitment further diversifies Broadcom's custom chip design work beyond existing collaborations with AI hyperscalers such as Alphabet and Meta Platforms.
