Apple has raised the selling prices of iPhones in Japan. The standard model of the latest iPhone 17 series, released last September, saw a price increase of 10%, or 13,000 yen, for the minimum storage capacity, bringing the 256-gigabyte model to 142,800 yen. The higher-end iPhone 17 Pro starts at 194,800 yen, an 8% increase for the minimum capacity; the iPhone 17 Pro Max is up 10%; the thin iPhone Air is up 11%; and the budget iPhone 17e starts at 107,800 yen, an 8% increase. Selling prices in the United States remain unchanged, possibly reflecting the historically weak yen, which has been trading around 162 yen to the dollar.
