Apple Inc.Apple Inc. shares fell today, in line with the sharp decline on Wall Street, even as the company prepares for an event expected to unveil new iPhone models tonight. Apple's stock dropped 0.47% to $314.74, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell more than 300 points as oil prices surged above $100 per barrel, fueling investor concerns about inflation and potential Federal Reserve interest rate hikes. The product launch event is scheduled for Wednesday, September 9, at Apple Park under the theme "Surprise and Shine." Apple is expected to introduce three new iPhone models: the iPhone 18 Pro with a 6.3-inch screen starting at $1,299, the iPhone 18 Pro Max with a 6.9-inch screen starting at $1,399, and the foldable iPhone 18, dubbed the iPhone Duo, featuring a 5.5-inch screen when folded and 7.8 inches when unfolded, with the top-tier 1TB model priced up to $3,000, or roughly 98,500 baht. Analysts at IDC project that the iPhone Duo will generate more than $45 billion in revenue for Apple by the end of next year, and expect Thailand to remain in the Tier 1 group this year. Additionally, Apple may postpone pre-orders for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max from September 11 to September 12, as the original date coincides with the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. The devices are expected to go on sale on September 18. The event also marks the debut of John Ternus, who has succeeded Tim Cook as the new CEO. Apple is also expected to unveil the Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4, and new smart home devices, along with the release schedule for iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS Golden Gate.
