Applied Optoelectronics is building new manufacturing capacity for 800G and 1.6T optical transceivers, directly supporting its growth.

Applied Optoelectronics has begun constructing two adjacent properties in Pearland, Texas, adding nearly 400,000 square feet of manufacturing capacity. The expansion aims to increase production of its 800G and 1.6T optical transceivers, which are a main component of AI infrastructures enabling fast, long-distance data transmission over fiber optics. CFO and Chief Strategy Officer Dr. Stefan Murry said the new facilities will support the company's long-term growth strategy and strengthen its position as a key supplier to the AI and cloud infrastructure markets.
