ArcelorMittal is expanding its partnership with Microsoft, adding Microsoft Fabric, Purview, and Foundry to its Azure-based "Cloud First, Data Centric" strategy to modernize IT systems and embed AI across global operations. Financial terms were not disclosed. Chief Information Officer Nik Puri said the deal is about fundamentally reshaping the IT operating model and embedding data and AI into the core of how the company runs its IT estate. Microsoft's EMEA president, Samer Abu-Ltaif, said ArcelorMittal is proof that ambitious companies are moving beyond experimenting with AI to build their business around it from the ground up. Insider Monkey's hedge fund database shows Microsoft had 282 hedge fund holders as of Q1 2026, down from 312 the prior quarter, while ArcelorMittal had 28, up from 25.
