ArcelorMittal SAReports $2.1B EBITDA, strong margins, and raised guidance.

ArcelorMittal S.A. reported improved financial performance in the second quarter, with EBITDA reaching $2.1 billion. The result reflects positive momentum across all business segments, with a margin of $155 per ton that management said is well above previous through-the-cycle averages. The European segment delivered EBITDA of $98 per ton, a three-year high, driven by an improved policy backdrop and early signs of benefits from the new Tariff Rate Quota trade tool. The company guided for third-quarter shipments to be stable to higher than the second quarter, a counter-seasonal outcome, and expects to capture an additional $400 million of strategic EBITDA in the second half, part of a $1.8 billion incremental target from growth projects starting in 2026. Free cash flow annualized at $2.5 billion in the first half, excluding seasonal working capital and strategic growth capital expenditures.
