ASML Holding N.V.Groundbreaking on new campus to expand EUV production capacity, easing bottleneck.

ASML Holding broke ground Tuesday on a 35-hectare campus in Eindhoven designed to relieve its increasingly tight EUV production pipeline, with the stock climbing about 2% to $1,751.66. The first opening is slated for 2029, accommodating at least 3,000 employees, and the fully developed site could eventually provide 20,000 workplaces across 350,000 square meters. The centerpiece is a new flow factory that will consolidate TWINSCAN materials, manufacturing, and installation operations under one roof. ASML shipped 86 new lithography systems in the second quarter, a 28.4% jump from the first quarter, and management targets a 30% increase in low-NA EUV capacity for 2027. However, the campus will not open soon enough to solve today's bottleneck, as existing plants and suppliers must carry three more years of customer commitments.
