ASML Holding N.V.ASML is raising prices on its low-NA EUV systems, boosting revenue and margins.
ASML is reportedly planning to raise prices for its low-NA extreme ultraviolet lithography systems, which currently cost about $200 million each and are essential for producing the world’s most advanced chips. The Dutch company holds a monopoly on EUV technology, supplying all major foundries including TSMC, Samsung, and Intel, and its newest high-NA systems already cost more than $400 million. TSMC intends to push low-NA systems to their limits before adopting high-NA in 2029, while Intel has already begun using high-NA for its 18A chips and Samsung plans to adopt them in 2027. ASML justifies the price hikes by citing the rising value of its systems amid AI-driven productivity gains for chipmakers, as well as the need to cover high engineering, maintenance, and specialized component costs. The global EUV market is projected to grow at an 11.4% compound annual rate from 2026 to 2032, and ASML expects revenue of €44 billion to €60 billion by 2030.
