Assurant, Inc.Record Q2 earnings and raised 2026 outlook, with strong segment growth and reduced costs.

Assurant reported record second-quarter earnings and raised its full-year 2026 financial outlook. Adjusted EBITDA excluding catastrophes rose 18% to $491.4 million, while adjusted earnings per share excluding catastrophes grew 19% to $6.60. Global Lifestyle adjusted EBITDA increased 21% to $244.4 million, driven by Connected Living and Global Automotive, and Global Housing adjusted EBITDA excluding catastrophes climbed 18% to $287.0 million, helped by a lower non-catastrophe loss ratio and reduced reinsurance costs. The company now expects full-year adjusted EBITDA and adjusted earnings per share, both excluding catastrophes, to grow mid-single digits, overcoming a $71 million headwind from lower favorable prior-year reserve development. Assurant also announced a new lender-placed insurance partnership with Freedom Mortgage, covering approximately 2.6 million loans, and said it expects share repurchases toward the upper end of its $300 million to $350 million range for the year.
