AT&T has elected Fazal F. Merchant to its board of directors, effective September 8. Merchant, who will serve on the Audit Committee and the Corporate Development and Finance Committee, most recently was President and Chief Financial Officer of Wiz, Inc., a cloud and AI security company, and previously held top roles at Tanium Inc., DreamWorks Animation, and DIRECTV. AT&T Chairman and CEO John Stankey said Merchant's expertise in corporate development, finance, and technology will be invaluable as the company evolves and invests for growth. Merchant also serves on the board of Warner Bros. Discovery and has held board positions at several other companies.
