A currency trader at Bank of Ayudhya said the baht and most regional currencies strengthened after the dollar weakened on news that the United States temporarily suspended attacks on Iran following 13 consecutive days of strikes. The US Department of Defense ordered a halt to operations on Friday evening, and there were no reports of US attacks on Saturday and Sunday. Iran also suspended attacks for two days, with a senior Iranian official confirming that attacks would be halted as long as the US does the same. The trader expects the baht to trade in a range of 33.50 to 33.75 per dollar today.
