Baidu IncInclusion in Stock Connect programs broadens investor access and liquidity, a positive financial event.

Baidu, Inc. announced that its Class A ordinary shares traded on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange have been included in both the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect and the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect programs, effective today, September 7, 2026. The inclusion in the Shenzhen program follows an announcement by the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, while the Shanghai program's inclusion was previously announced and also became effective today. This dual inclusion allows eligible mainland Chinese investors to directly trade Baidu's Class A shares through both connect mechanisms, which the company says is expected to diversify its investor base and enhance share liquidity. Baidu, a leading AI company founded in 2000, trades on Nasdaq under BIDU and on HKEX under 9888 and 89888.
