Baxter International Inc. published its newly renamed 2025 Sustainability Report, introducing a refreshed sustainability strategy and new targets including Net-Zero greenhouse gas emissions across Scope 1 and Scope 2 by 2050 and 100% renewable electricity by 2040. The report, formerly called the Corporate Responsibility Report, highlights progress in 2025 such as more than $32 million in community contributions through strategic partnerships, product donations, and employee matching gifts. The company has established its first chief sustainability officer role and a new sustainability team to enhance coordination and accountability. Additional targets include having 80% of supplier spend in priority categories with suppliers that have science-based targets by 2030 and achieving 100,000 employee volunteer hours by 2031, alongside a previously established goal to invest $275 million by 2030 in underserved communities.
