Shares of Bank of Ayudhya, or BAY, fell sharply. At 10:16 a.m., the stock was at 42.50 baht, down 3.25 baht or 7.10%, after the bank reported second-quarter 2026 net profit of 8.29 billion baht, a slight decrease of 0.02% from the same period last year. Although total revenue rose 11.4% to 42.14 billion baht, operating expenses increased 16.8% and the bank set aside expected credit loss provisions up 10.4% to 11.36 billion baht. For the first six months of 2026, net profit stood at 16.91 billion baht, up 6.84% from a year earlier, supported by loans to large corporate customers and businesses in the ASEAN region, as well as efficient financial cost management.
