Becton Dickinson and CompanyBD's CentroVena One system awarded Vizient Innovative Technology contract, likely boosting adoption and sales.

BD has been awarded an Innovative Technology contract from Vizient for its CentroVena One Insertion System, recognizing the device as a breakthrough innovation in central line insertion. The contract was granted after a review by Vizient's client-led councils, which found that the all-in-one system offers differentiated capabilities to enhance clinical care, improve patient and clinician safety, and streamline procedural workflows. CentroVena One is the first and only all-in-one central venous catheter insertion system, integrating the guidewire, needle, syringe, and catheter into a single system to reduce procedural complexity with 30% fewer steps and a 50% reduction in maximum procedure time compared to standard techniques. Vizient represents a diverse client base with more than $156 billion in annual purchasing volume, and the contract was awarded outside the competitive bid cycle through its Innovative Technology Program.
