B.Grimm Power Public Company LimitedExpansion into power plant auctions and PPAs to meet clean electricity demand from AI and data centers.

B.Grimm Power, or BGRIM, has announced a new round of investment expansion, preparing to bid for IPP, SPP and renewable energy power plant projects, as well as opportunities from direct power purchase agreements to meet clean electricity demand from AI and data centers. Mr. Nopadej Karnasuta, Chief Executive Officer for Thailand, Malaysia and Industrial Business Solutions, said the company is shifting its role from a traditional power producer to an energy technology infrastructure provider, focusing on developing smart grid and smart transmission systems through to digital energy services. BGRIM currently has 4,764 megawatts of commercially operating capacity and another 6,640 megawatts under development, which will gradually contribute additional revenue and profit going forward. The company aims to increase the share of revenue from service businesses to about 10 percent of total revenue in the future through data centers, energy platform as a service and digital solutions. It is also making power purchase agreements more flexible by increasing the proportion of fixed price and market-based pricing to reduce reliance on the fuel adjustment tariff, and aims to raise the share of overseas investment to about 50 percent of the total portfolio by developing large renewable energy projects in South Korea, the Philippines, Australia and Malaysia. BGRIM also plans to use green financial instruments such as green loans and green bonds, and is studying the establishment of an infrastructure fund to support future investment plans.
