Blackstone Group IncBlackstone launches AI venture Ode and India infrastructure platform, incremental to its investment narrative and dry powder deployment.

Blackstone, alongside Anthropic and Hellman & Friedman, formally launched Ode with Anthropic, an AI services company built on Fractional AI's team and Anthropic's frontier models to help enterprises deploy advanced AI systems. Separately, Blackstone hired Ami Momaya as its first dedicated infrastructure head for India, marking the launch of its infrastructure platform in the country. These moves are incremental to Blackstone's investment narrative, which remains centered on deploying US$177 billion of dry powder efficiently, with market volatility and weaker realizations posing the biggest near-term risk to earnings and distributions. The Ode venture adds to Blackstone's push into technology-enabled alternatives, potentially deepening client relationships around digital infrastructure alongside initiatives like its Google data-center partnership. Blackstone's narrative projects $22.5 billion revenue and $9.8 billion earnings by 2029, requiring 16.1% yearly revenue growth and a roughly $6.7 billion earnings increase from $3.1 billion today.
