Bloom Energy co-founder and CEO KR Sridhar has become a billionaire, with his 1.7% stake in the company now worth $1.7 billion according to Bloomberg, following a more than 1,300% surge in the company's stock over the past year. Sridhar, 65, also holds over 300,000 performance-based restricted shares tied to revenue targets and sits on the board of C3.ai Inc., where he holds stock options. Bloom Energy reported first-quarter total revenue of $751.05 million, up 130.4% year-over-year, and raised its full-year guidance for revenue and earnings per share. The company's fuel cells, which can run on hydrogen with no emissions and be deployed in six months or less, have attracted deals with Oracle Corp and Brookfield Asset Management for data center applications.
