BNP Paribas SABoeing shares jumped approximately 5.2% in Monday's regular-session trading after BNP Paribas delivered a rare two-level rating upgrade. Analyst Matthew Akers moved Boeing directly from a negative rating to a positive rating, reflecting increasing confidence in the manufacturer's recovery under Chief Executive Kelly Ortberg. Boeing's second-quarter results included $631 million in free cash flow, compared with expectations for approximately $388 million of cash consumption, while revenue and aircraft deliveries also exceeded expectations. The company has increased monthly 737 MAX production to 47 aircraft and plans to reach 52 by early 2027, with wide-body 787 production expected to rise to 10 aircraft monthly. Approximately 80% of analysts covering Boeing now assign the equivalent of a buy rating, and the average analyst target was approximately $276, representing about 21% above Boeing's $227.28 share price during Monday morning trading.
