Bank of America CorpBofA's own upgraded global growth forecast reflects positive outlook for its investment banking and lending businesses.

Bank of America has raised its global growth forecasts, now projecting 3.2% expansion in 2026 and 3.5% in 2027, up from prior estimates of 3.1% and 3.4%, respectively. The upgrade is driven primarily by an AI-driven export cycle in Asia and an AI investment boom in the US, with lower oil prices providing a mild boost to developed markets in 2027. AI investment has increasingly dominated US final domestic demand growth, overtaking consumer spending as the traditional leader, while also fueling exports in China and emerging-market Asia. However, BofA warns of risks including potential Federal Reserve rate hikes, with 75 basis points of increases expected by end-2026, and the possibility of a disorderly tightening of financial conditions.
