Bombardier and Rolls-Royce have introduced an enhanced aircraft health monitoring program for Global 5500 and 6500 aircraft, combining Bombardier’s Smart Link Plus system with Rolls-Royce’s new engine vibration and health monitoring unit on the Pearl 15 engine. The integration allows access to approximately 10,000 engine performance and health parameters, enabling proactive troubleshooting and minimizing downtime. Select customers can now book installations at Bombardier Service Centres worldwide, and both systems are factory-installed on all in-production Global 5500 and 6500 aircraft. Bombardier says approximately 450 aircraft currently use Smart Link Plus, with a 99% renewal rate among operators.
