BRAIN Biotech AG has appointed Dr. Sven K. Weber as its new CEO, effective October 1, 2026, succeeding Adriaan Moelker who will step down on September 30 after six years in the role. Dr. Weber, 44, joins from BASF Group where he most recently served as Vice President responsible for the global enzyme business, having previously held leadership roles at Chemetall GmbH and hte GmbH. Supervisory Board Chairman Dr. Michael Majerus thanked Moelker for repositioning the company as an integrated enzyme manufacturer and expressed confidence that Dr. Weber will accelerate growth and strengthen profitability. Dr. Weber stated his goal is to develop BRAIN into a leading provider of specialty enzymes in selected application areas and to tap additional growth potential through the BRAINBioIncubator.
