Briacell Therapeutics CorpOpens first Canadian site for pivotal Phase 3 trial of Bria-IMT in metastatic breast cancer, with positive DSMB recommendation and FDA Fast Track designation.

BriaCell Therapeutics has opened its first Canadian clinical site for its pivotal Phase 3 study of Bria-IMT plus an immune checkpoint inhibitor in metastatic breast cancer, with Sunnybrook’s Odette Cancer Centre in Toronto joining the trial. The study now has over 80 active sites across 15 US states, including Penn Medicine, Mayo Clinic, and Yale, and is evaluating overall survival compared with physician’s choice. An interim analysis is planned after 144 patient deaths, and the trial recently received a positive DSMB recommendation to continue. BriaCell reported positive Phase 2 survival data at ASCO 2026, and the Bria-IMT combination regimen holds FDA Fast Track designation.
