Broadcom IncShares fell despite strong earnings due to high valuation and limited upside, as investors reacted to the high bar set by AI-driven growth.

Broadcom shares fell 5.64% to $346.54 on Thursday even after the company reported an 86% surge in quarterly revenue, as investors reacted to the high bar set by its AI-driven growth. The third-quarter results showed revenue of $29.59 billion, including $16.7 billion from AI semiconductors, and free cash flow of $13.67 billion, which is 46% of sales. Management guided fourth-quarter revenue to approximately $34.8 billion, with AI-chip sales expected to jump to roughly $21.7 billion. However, the stock's valuation, sitting just 1.4% below its GF Value of $351.46, left little room for error, causing the decline despite the strong performance.
