The Cabinet meeting approved the appointment of six civil servants to senior executive positions as proposed by the Ministry of Justice. Police Major General Piya Raksakul was appointed Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation, or DSI, while Police Lieutenant Colonel Pongthorn Thanyasiri becomes Director-General of the Department of Juvenile Observation and Protection. Mrs. Tharinee Saengsawang and Mr. Komol Prompheng were named inspectors-general of the Ministry, Office of the Permanent Secretary. Miss Nantharat Thepphonchai and Police Lieutenant Colonel Prawut Wongsini were appointed deputy permanent secretaries of the Ministry, Office of the Permanent Secretary. The meeting also approved the transfer of Police Major General Yuthana Phraedam, Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation, to serve as a special expert attached to the Office of the Prime Minister, at the senior executive level, Office of the Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office. In addition, the meeting approved the appointment of three civil servants to senior executive positions as proposed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Mr. Pasusit Wongsuravat as ambassador attached to the Ministry, Office of the Permanent Secretary; Mrs. Chatwadee Jindawong as Director-General of the Department of ASEAN Affairs; and Miss Marinee Suwanmolee as ambassador attached to the Ministry, Office of the Permanent Secretary.
