The Cabinet meeting, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn on behalf of Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, approved the appointment of civil servants to senior executive positions. It endorsed the Finance Ministry's proposal to appoint Salakjit Pongsirichan, advisor on tax collection strategy for the financial and banking transactions group, as Director-General of the Revenue Department. It also appointed Theeralak Saengsanit, deputy permanent secretary of the Finance Ministry and head of the revenue affairs group, as Director-General of the Treasury Department. Meanwhile, on a Justice Ministry proposal, the Cabinet resolved to transfer Police Major General Piya Raksakul, Director-General of the Department of Probation, to serve as Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation, or DSI.
