Advanced Micro Devices IncAnalyst raised price target to $700, names AMD top compute pick
Cantor Fitzgerald analyst C.J. Muse raised his price target on Advanced Micro Devices to $700 from $500, keeping an Overweight rating and naming the stock his top pick in the computing sector above Nvidia and Broadcom. The new target, the highest on Wall Street, implies a more than 34% increase from recent trading levels. AMD shares had closed at a record $580.91 on June 30 before falling nearly 7% the next session on reports that Meta Platforms may resell excess AI computing capacity. The bullish call is backed by AMD's data center momentum, with first-quarter data center sales jumping 57% to $5.8 billion, now more than half of total revenue, and the ramp of sixth-generation EPYC Venice server chips. Wall Street's average price target remains at $509.75, with targets ranging from $250 to $700 across 35 analysts.
