Carvana announced plans to add Inspection and Reconditioning Center capabilities to its existing ADESA Sarasota wholesale auction site in Bradenton, Florida. The 60-acre facility, which has operated as a wholesale auto auction for 20 years and offers over 3,000 parking spaces, will now also recondition vehicles, allowing customers along the Florida Gulf Coast to receive same-day delivery once the new inventory pool is running. Senior Vice President of Inventory Brian Boyd said the integration is expected to create around 100 new jobs in inspection, reconditioning, and fulfillment, with hiring already underway. The company's proprietary software platform, CARLI, will manage the site's transition.
