Caterpillar Inc. reported a 34.8% year-over-year increase in Construction Industries segment revenues to $8.35 billion in the second quarter, following a 38% rise to $7.16 billion in the first quarter. The segment, which generated about $25.1 billion in sales in 2025, accounting for roughly 37% of total revenues, now represents about 41% of the company's total. The growth was driven by a $1.75 billion benefit from higher sales volumes and $309 million from favorable price realization. Caterpillar aims to increase Construction Industries sales to end users by 1.25 times by 2030 compared with 2024 levels, supported by expectations of over 25% growth in global construction spending between 2024 and 2034. The company is expanding rental, digital, and technology-enabled offerings, and investing in autonomous equipment and AI-driven jobsite solutions. Caterpillar shares have gained 91.3% in the past year, and the Zacks Consensus Estimate points to 42.4% earnings growth in 2026 and 20.6% in 2027.
