Cathie Wood of Ark Invest has been buying the dip on crypto stocks, adding nearly $8 million of Coinbase Global and almost $1.5 million of Circle Internet Group after both sold off. Coinbase remains her sixth-largest holding in the ARK Innovation ETF with a 4.2% portfolio share, and Wood sees growth from its expansion beyond traditional crypto trading into prediction markets, tokenized equities, and derivatives. Circle, issuer of the $72 billion USDC stablecoin, faces new competition from a consortium of over 140 banks and fintechs planning to launch Open USD, but Wood is betting on its new Arc blockchain network backed by a dozen top financial institutions. Wood has not been buying Strategy, the largest Bitcoin treasury company, as Bitcoin trades about 50% below its all-time high of $126,000, and she has sent mixed signals on Robinhood Markets and Bullish.
