Circle Internet Group, Inc.Circle won OCC approval to establish a national trust bank, reducing fees and legitimizing USDC.

Cathie Wood's Ark Invest purchased an additional $14 million worth of Circle Internet Group shares last week, spread across three of its exchange-traded funds. The buys totaled 220,012 shares, with the Ark Innovation ETF taking 159,517 shares, the Ark Next Generation ETF gaining 42,400, and the Ark Blockchain & Fintech Innovation ETF absorbing 18,095. Circle recently won approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to establish a national trust bank, a move that could reduce fees and further legitimize its USDC stablecoin. The stock has been under pressure amid a broader crypto downturn and the upcoming launch of a rival stablecoin, Open USD, backed by a consortium including Visa and BlackRock.
