Hubei Century Network Technology Co LtdQ1 core net profit swung to loss, revenue down 11%, and cash flow deeply negative; management refused to disclose key operating data for Dynasty Warriors Mobile, disappointing investors.

Century Network remained tight-lipped about operating data for its high-profile new title Dynasty Warriors Mobile during an earnings briefing, saying only that it is in the early stages of operation and has gained some market influence and industry exposure, without providing core metrics such as gross revenue or retention. The game, developed in-house by Century Games and officially licensed by Koei Tecmo, launched on June 24 and was expected to reverse the company's declining fortunes. In the first quarter, the company reported revenue of 279 million yuan, down 11.21 percent year-on-year, with net profit attributable to shareholders of just 4.4517 million yuan, plunging 82.49 percent year-on-year. Non-recurring net profit swung to a loss of 2.0901 million yuan, and net cash flow from operating activities was negative 67.2312 million yuan. In response to its share price hitting a record low, the company said the stock price is affected by multiple factors and emphasized its sound business fundamentals, but the first-quarter figures have left investors unconvinced. The company has scheduled its semi-annual report for disclosure on August 27, which will reveal the game's true performance.
