CG Oncology announced the publication of results from its pivotal Phase 3 BOND-003 Cohort C trial evaluating cretostimogene grenadenorepvec monotherapy in patients with high-risk, BCG-unresponsive non-muscle invasive bladder cancer with carcinoma in situ in The Lancet Oncology. The trial met its primary endpoint with a complete response rate of 75.5 percent at any time, a median duration of response of at least 27.9 months that is ongoing, and 12- and 24-month duration of response rates of 64.2 percent and 60.1 percent respectively. No Grade 3 or greater treatment-related adverse events were reported, and 96.6 percent of patients were free from progression to muscle invasive bladder cancer at both 48 and 96 weeks. The company stated that if approved, cretostimogene may represent an important bladder-sparing advancement in the treatment paradigm.
