The residential origination segment originated $1.1 billion in volume, up 30 percent from the prior year period, and generated $9 million of net income. The investment portfolio segment completed two re-securitizations of residential mortgage loans with an aggregate principal balance of $487 million and purchased an additional $122 million of newly originated loans from HomeXpress, bringing loans retained at quarter end to $301 million.
