In the international engineering business, two major contracts were signed in the second quarter, worth USD 412 million, including the second phase of the Huatong electrolytic aluminum production line in Angola and the first phase of the grain and legume deep processing agricultural complex in Astana, Kazakhstan. The company's effective contract value for international engineering contracting reached USD 1.306 billion, up 34.22 percent year on year, with an outstanding contract balance of USD 9.77 billion. New contracts for domestic engineering contracting amounted to RMB 1.197 billion, while new contracts for equipment manufacturing reached RMB 738 million, a year-on-year increase of 24.45 percent. Major projects such as the renovation and expansion of Punta Huete International Airport in Nicaragua and the soda ash plant in Jambyl Region, Kazakhstan, are progressing steadily.
