Sun Meijun, head of China's General Administration of Customs, revealed that China now implements a duty-free policy for 63 countries. In May, China began applying the duty-free policy for imported goods from 53 African countries that have diplomatic relations with China. Chinese authorities will continue to expand and diversify trade markets during the 2026 to 2030 period, while accelerating openness measures and implementing high-standard trade agreements. Trade between China and Africa from January to June 2026 increased by 19.6 percent year-on-year.
