China's Ministry of Finance has announced plans to inject capital into three major insurance companies to strengthen their capital base, solvency, and risk resilience. China Life Insurance (Group) will receive 35 billion yuan, while People's Insurance Company (Group) of China (PICC) will raise up to 15 billion yuan through the issuance of A-shares to the Ministry of Finance. China Taiping Insurance Group will receive 7 billion yuan, bringing the total injection to 57 billion yuan. The capital increase aims to bolster operational strength and withstand economic shocks while maintaining robust solvency indicators.
