Cisco Systems IncHuawei's criminal trial opens over alleged theft of Cisco router OS source code, a legal/regulatory cloud over Cisco.

Cisco Systems shares slipped approximately 0.5% to $108.865 Thursday as Huawei's federal criminal trial opened in Brooklyn, where prosecutors accused the Chinese technology company of conspiring to steal trade secrets from five U.S. businesses, including source code for Cisco's router operating system. Federal prosecutors also alleged sanctions and financial-system violations tied to Iran, while Huawei rejected the charges and described the disputed activity as legitimate business conduct or isolated employee behavior. The trial could run for roughly three months, and Cisco is not prosecuting the case, leaving investors with no disclosed financial recovery to price into the shares. Separately, Cisco booked $9.3 billion of fiscal 2026 AI orders, equal to about 14.7% of its $63.33 billion in annual revenue, and expects AI revenue to climb from approximately $4 billion to $7.5 billion in fiscal 2027. Cisco trades 46.56% above its $74.28 GF Value estimate.
