Micron Technology IncCiti cuts price target and EPS estimates on fading memory pricing momentum.

Citi lowered its price target on Micron Technology to $1,150 from $1,400 while maintaining a Buy rating, citing expectations that DRAM and NAND pricing momentum will decelerate and peak in the second quarter of 2027. The bank applied an 8x price-to-earnings multiple on revised calendar-year 2027 EPS estimates, down from a prior 10x multiple, and trimmed its fiscal 2027 and 2028 EPS estimates by 1% and 2% respectively. Citi now sees DRAM prices declining 3% half-over-half in the second half of 2027 versus a flatter prior view, and NAND prices falling 5% half-over-half, with Micron's gross margins expected to decline from the mid-80s to the mid-70s next year. The revision followed supply-chain meetings at a memory conference, where the bank also flagged Chinese capacity additions by YMTC and CXMT as the biggest long-term risk to its thesis, warning that indirect sales to non-U.S. data centers could pressure Micron's pricing leverage internationally.
