Citi analyst Atif Malik upgraded Advanced Micro Devices to Buy from Neutral and raised the price target to $575 from $460, citing the company's growing GPU business and strong CPU outlook. Malik said AMD is on track to capture the lion's share of GPU sales at Meta Platforms, with an expanded partnership to deploy up to 6 gigawatts of Instinct GPUs and a custom MI450-based accelerator co-designed for Meta's next-generation AI workloads, with shipments expected in the second half of 2026. AMD also has a partnership with OpenAI, and both customers are tracking above the company's original plan for 2027. On the CPU side, Citi raised its server CPU total addressable market forecast to $137 billion by 2030, driven by demand for agentic AI, while AMD reported server CPU revenue grew more than 50% year-over-year in the first quarter of 2026 and guided for more than 70% growth in the second quarter. AMD's data center segment generated $5.8 billion in revenue in the first quarter, up 57% year-over-year, and free cash flow tripled to a record $2.6 billion.
