CK Power Public Company LimitedCKP started 5 MW solar operations with BEM and reports higher water flow, boosting power generation and sales capacity.

CK Power (CKP) has commenced commercial operations of its solar energy project with Bangkok Expressway and Metro (BEM), with a total capacity of 5 megawatts in September, to increase renewable energy capacity in the company's portfolio. In the first half of the year, water flow through the Xayaburi hydropower plant was 17.7% higher than the same period last year, resulting in an 11.2% increase in electricity sales. For the second half, the company assesses that water conditions remain favorable for power generation, especially in Q4 when water levels are expected to be slightly above average. Meanwhile, the Nam Ngum 2 hydropower plant had usable water at 32.53% of capacity as of end-July, and the Bang Pa-in cogeneration plant has returned to full capacity after maintenance in Q1. These factors will support power generation and sales in the second half.
