Cloudflare IncCloudflare launches new AI-powered vulnerability service with OpenAI, expanding product offerings.

Cloudflare, Inc. has announced Vulnerability Discovery and Remediation, a new service available in early access through Cloudflare Managed Defense, which uses OpenAI Daybreak models, including GPT-5.6 Cyber, to find, block, and fix software vulnerabilities automatically. The service integrates with Cloudflare's global network to provide real-time traffic context, enabling organizations to prioritize and remediate high-risk vulnerabilities before they are exploited. This launch comes as the National Vulnerability Database logged 60,475 vulnerabilities by September 2026, surpassing the 48,185 total for all of 2025. Cloudflare's CEO Matthew Prince emphasized the shift from manual patch chasing to automated edge defense, while OpenAI's McCall McIntyre highlighted the goal of giving defenders frontier AI safely. The service is available by invitation for select Cloudflare Enterprise customers.
