Cloudflare announced that Cloudflare for Government achieved FedRAMP High authorization and GovRAMP Moderate authorization, with plans to pursue Department of Defense Impact Level 4 clearance next. The news follows a second-quarter report showing 36% revenue growth to $696.1 million, while GAAP operating loss widened to $205.7 million from $67.3 million a year earlier. GAAP net loss reached $170.0 million, more than triple the prior-year loss of $50.4 million, and gross margin slipped to 71.8% from 74.9%. CEO Matthew Prince noted that over 50% of traffic crossing Cloudflare's network in the quarter was machine-generated, a milestone reached ahead of his earlier forecast, though the company is still building the infrastructure to monetize that traffic.
