CMA CGM reported a 42.4 percent jump in second-quarter EBITDA to $2.26 billion, driven by higher container volumes and sustained freight rates amid geopolitical instability. Maritime volumes rose 6 percent to 6.3 million TEUs, while shipping revenue climbed 22 percent to $9.96 billion. Overall group revenue grew 19.2 percent to $15.69 billion, with net income improving to $770 million from $520 million a year earlier. Chairman and CEO Rodolphe Saadé attributed the performance to network adjustments, fleet optimization, and disciplined cost management in a volatile market marked by Middle East conflicts and macroeconomic uncertainty.
