A CNN/SSRS poll finds President Donald Trump's approval rating has fallen to its lowest level ever, with only 34% of American adults approving of his job performance, matching the low after the January 6, 2021 Capitol riot. 66% disapprove, including 50% who strongly disapprove, a record high, and only 15% who strongly approve, a record low. The survey was conducted July 23 to 27 among 1,225 American adults, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.2 percentage points. Support from his own party has also slipped, with just 78% of Republicans approving of his performance, a record low. 73% of respondents say Trump has not paid enough attention to the country's most important problems, and 71% say he has not done enough to lower consumer goods prices, up from 58% a year ago. 65% believe his policies have worsened the economy, and 67% say his decisions on Iran have hurt the United States. On fuel prices, 74% of Americans say rising prices are causing hardship, up from 63% in March.
