CollPlant Biotechnologies Ltd. announced the successful closing of its acquisition of LightSolver Ltd., marking its entry into the photonic computing sector. The deal, which was previously announced on August 31, 2026, involved an equity-centric structure, including the issuance of upfront ordinary shares, pre-funded warrants, and a $5 million investment in LightSolver. Additional milestone-based warrants will become exercisable upon LightSolver achieving specified technological and commercial objectives. LightSolver is developing the world's first Laser Processing Unit (LPU), an energy-efficient, pure photonic computing platform designed to accelerate computationally intensive workloads. CollPlant's Chairperson and CEO, Yehiel Tal, stated that this new field will run alongside the company's continued operations in regenerative medicine.
