Mrs. Arada Fuangtong, Director-General of the Department of Foreign Trade, revealed that out of Thailand's total exports to the United States in 2025 worth 91.255 billion US dollars, goods exempted under Annex A amounted to 56.201 billion US dollars, or 61.58% of total export value. Meanwhile, non-exempt goods were valued at 35.034 billion US dollars, or 38.39%. However, within this amount, goods under Section 232 accounted for approximately 7 billion US dollars, which are not subject to additional Section 301 tariffs. When combining exempt goods and Section 232 goods, goods still not exempt from Section 301 therefore account for about 28% of total export value. Goods affected by the 12.5% tariff rate are mostly agricultural products such as dog and cat food, rice, tuna, shrimp, and sauces, with a combined value of 2.93 billion US dollars, or 3.21% of Thai exports to the US. Meanwhile, affected industrial goods include silver jewelry, metal jewelry, and rubber tiles. Solar cell products are not affected by Section 301 as they are already subject to anti-dumping and countervailing duties.
