Commvault announced a new integration with Google Threat Intelligence to help organizations identify clean recovery points faster after cyberattacks. The integration incorporates Google Threat Intelligence data and scanning capabilities into Commvault Threat Scan workflows, enabling customers to analyze protected workloads for malware and pinpoint compromised recovery points. Commvault is also introducing inline scanning that collects file hashes during backup operations, allowing rapid threat intelligence validation and selective deeper analysis. These capabilities strengthen Commvault's Synthetic Recovery, which uses AI to automatically detect and remove threats during recovery. The new features are expected to be available in the coming months.
